1976 : The first EMSBÜRENER MUSIC DAYS
The first EMSBÜRENER MUSIKTAGE took place the following year. The concept combined seminars by renowned lecturers for music students with programs for all generations. Würth believed that different art forms could inspire each other, and so art exhibitions, lectures, and performances such as phantom time, dance, and musical theater were intended to enrich the musical offerings.
The highlight was to be a concert by a well-known artist, and Erhard Würth knew just the right person for this: his teacher Stefan Askenase, a world-renowned pianist who was already 80 years old at the time. His wish for the Music Days to become a permanent fixture came true.
