2025 50th anniversary of the Emsbüren Music Days

SjaellaHalf a century of the Emsbüren Music Days – the year 2025 marked the anniversary, which was celebrated in grand style. The art exhibition, entitled "Facets," presented a retrospective of the exhibitions of the past five decades and the artists who have so enriched the Music Days.

The atrium of the Liudger-Realschule was filled to capacity for the guest concert of the six-member a cappella ensemble Sjaella, and the anniversary concert was celebrated in a festive manner.

During the closing concert, the piece “Varietas Musica aut quomodo pastoris vacca homines delectaverit mortua”* (*Musical Variety or How the Pastor’s Cow Delighted Humanity Even After Her Death) was performed again after the song van Pastor sine Koh, which AN Tarkmann had composed for the 35th anniversary of the music festival – including an anvil.

In 2025, 3 participants won the Emsbüren scholarship: Kyrylo Nimenskyi (2nd from left), Marie Nassauer (3rd from right) and Jinsol Kim (2nd from right)Anniversary concert in the council chamber of the municipality of EmsbürenSjaella played to a sold-out houseSenior concertFamily concert
