51 years of the Emsbürener Musiktage

The 51st Emsbürener Musiktage will take place from October 18th to November 8th, 2026. The traditional event consists of several concerts as well as the international masterclass week from October 18th to 24th, 2026.

After more than 50 years, the Emsbürener Musiktage are a traditional event series in the southern Emsland region, contributing every year not only to musical education but also to the vibrant local cultural scene.

Daily intensive individual lessons in flute, oboe, clarinet, horn, and bassoon—along with chamber music instruction and mental training—await the approximately 40 participants selected through an admissions process. The focused, week-long course in small groups with professors from renowned music academies makes this course particularly valuable for any musician's CV.

Chronicle of the Emsbürener Musiktage

The Emsbürener Musiktage celebrated their 50th anniversary in 2025. Since 1976, they have brought together outstanding musicians and talented young artists. From interactive concerts for children to concerts for youth and seniors, and high-caliber concerts by faculty members – the Music Days combine classical music with education and shared experiences.
